Competitive Dance Teams (CDT)
It is our goal to instill a passion for performing rather than merely the desire to win awards. Our solid reputation for quality reflects our attitude toward competition and our goal to develop in each student a genuine respect for dance as an art form. If the dancers feel good about a performance and understand that they become better each time they go onstage, they are truly growing through the competition experience. The LA Dance Academy competitive teams have been recognized in numerous competitions both regionally and nationally. Most recently, LA Dance Academy was recognized as part of the Top 5 Studios and received a People’s Choice Award at the Thunderstruck Canada competition. L.A. Dance Academy’s teams have also qualified 4 consecutive years for The Dance World Cup competition. This past July 2018, our travelling teams placed in the top 3 podium spots bringing home 16 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze medals.
