Juan Sangalang

Born and raised in the Phillipines, Juan first began dancing at the age of 9 after having seen videos from Youtube. Juan would spend most of the following years learning as much as he could from any video he could find, fostering in himself a love and passion for dance.

In 2015, Juan got his first taste of what “real” dancing was like when he auditioned for Tec Voc’s competitive dance team “DTC”. Having been accepted, Juan was able to further his training under the mentorship of Sofia Costantini and Lee Banaga. In late 2016 Juan joined Sikat Dance Company and by his second year, Juan was offered the privelage of being a choreographer and mentor within the team.

Juan began teaching at LA Dance Academy in 2018 where he continues to share his love for Dance today.
